The bike wheel rim tapes are used to seal the inner hole of the rim and maintain the airtightness of the tire under high pressure. It is recommended to wrap each rim twice. All tapes are 10M in length. Reference tape width for a mountain bike: inner width of the wheel rim + (2 ~ 4) mm will be the width of tape you should select. Width of 23 / 25mm tire tapes are applicable for most MTB. Reference tape width for a road bike: narrow bike wheel rim (with outer width of 23mm ) usually uses 18mm tire tapes, wide bike wheel rim ( with outer width of 25mm) usually uses 21mm tire tapes. 16mm tire tapes are recommended for BMX road bikes. In most cases, tape length of 10m is enough for 2 mountain bikes (4 wheels) or one road bike (a road bike is wrapped in double layers).
